I am sorry but this one makes me very angry and I can tell you why! The scammers and conmen always attack children trying to play internet games.

As a parent I do understand my son’s excitement when he is told by one of his friends that they have just downloaded a great game on the internet and it is free!

We must remember that they are only children when they have to tell mum or dad three days later that there computer has stopped working and they don’t know why!

Now this is where the scam hits your pocket as you now have to call someone to fix the computer and those services are not cheap. This has happened because one of your children was conned into downloading a piece of software that:

• Had a virus!
• Had a spybot in it!
• Had software that passes information to a hacker!
• Had malware in it!

If I had a £1 pound or $1 dollar for the amount of times I have advised people that:

NOTHING IS FOR FREE ON THE INTERNET!

I would be a very rich man today..................

My advice to you is to only set up accounts on your computer for your children as a guest and not an administrator. In that way they cannot download anything without your permission. I will soon be offering my advice on the best virus software to use on the internet.
