The Bait: E-mails offering Weight loss without exercise or diet through the use of a fantastic new product are getting more and more common. A cream, a patch or a pill that absorbs excess fat and offers a fast and effective weight loss solution sounds like a wonderful cure or prevention for obesity.

The Catch: Like so many scams, this one plays on our emotions, often offering permanent weight loss solutions. There are of course no such products available to purchase via an email offer. You should always consult your doctor or pharmacist who will advise the appropriate course of treatment.
